I can't believe its Derby Day already! This is the first year I haven't had a pick for the race....or a Derby party to go to. I haven't even looked or studied the line up...whaas the matter w/me??
When I lived in Indiana (18 yrs), everyone started talking about 'the race beginning around Feb/Mar. I listened to their stories about endfield antics and planned parties for about two months. Then one day someone mentioned something about the race that didn't quite go with the running for the roses. That's when I discovered that all that time they were thinking/talking about the Indy 500 and I was on the KY Derby page! (there's another race in May?) That's why Kentuckians should never infiltrate Hoosier land...& vice/versa!
I am preparing now to watch THE RACE......the 'Old Ky Home' intro always gives me chills! If you haven't found a bookie yet...you still have time!
