Hard Times Are Killin Me

Since the big economic crash hit and I have lost half my life savings, I have given up a lotta things. Important things like my cleaning lady, lobster, new clothes, Crown Royal, Irish Mist, decent beer and a whole lot more.

The other day, my sister looked at me and said "Good grief Char, you need a frost..really bad" (she's subtle that way). I still have my hairdresser cut my hair, but tonight I decided to frost it myself and save some money. I got all the supplies, but forgot the plastic shower cap. You would die laughing if you could see me right now. I am now sitting here with golden stripes (actually they're still kinda orange right now) under a WalMart bag. It IS NOT a pretty sight. Surely this means I have hit rock bottom!

If this shit doesn't turn blond real soon I am really gonna be pissed. I'm tellin you these hard times are killin me.

Honey- I'll starve befure I give up my cleaning lady or my standing appointment at the hairdressers! A girl's gotta have boundaries!

I've also cut back on professional hair color. But I'm to chicken to try it myself, so I just try to extend the time between visits. My roots are horrible. :)

I couldn't help it, Char...I chuckled at the image of the Walmart bag! But you know what? I bet it will turn out fine. Plastic is plastic, right? I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Rick - Trust me, you DO NOT want to see a picture of that. I really did consider taking a pic but came to my senses before posting. My balls are just not THAT big!

Ms G.- I know, could be that I overstepped my boundries this time.

Em - It's not so bad (except for the WM bag). Only it is damn hard to pull the hair through in the back. And, the reverse image in a mirror can be quite confusing.

Beth - You know, it's not really too bad....IF I don't go out in the daylight hours or in well lit areas. Color looks kinda like a hooker's dream. Just kiddin, it actually did turn out okay.

Priceless!

Don't tell anyone, but I color my wife's hair for her.

Just call me Yace...

I know this isn't funny...oh hell, yeah it is. I can't help but chuckle thinking of you with a Wal-mart bag over your head. I would assume the orange color might of been from the weird tint to the Wal-Mart bag? Glad to know it turned out ok. I've been coloring my own hair for years. When you go almost pure gray in your early twenties, you learn quickly. Professional haircolorist would of cost me a fortune by now. (Hugs)Indigo

Damn, no lobster, Crown or a hair dresser? That is rough LOL
We tried Keystone Light not too long ago (30 pack for $12) and it wasn't too bad. It's made by Coors and tastes a lot like a regular Coors.
Good luck with the hair! I understand no pics during the process but show us one of the finished product.

I'm sorry Char, I'm laughing. Trust me, it could be worse. Hopefully now that you've finished your hair, it could be a lot worse. Did it all turn out alright?

I had a maid before my daughter was born, when I lived in a condo and was a 60 hour a week workaholic.

Now, when I REALLY need one, we can't afford it!

You're gorgeous, Char...truly...:)

I loved this. Sorry but I'm laughing :))

Awww poor heart! If it's any consolation, I've always cut my own hair! And my daughter's! I've never used a walmart bag, but mostly because I can barely afford the cost of frosting at home! Show us the results...please!
