Gator Aide

Yesterday's golf game was interesting.  Do you think you could tee off with this guy only a few yards from you?  I was too chicken chit to get close enough to get his full length in frame, but trust me, he was a whopper!  Gator aide, anyone?

That takes the term "water hazard" to a new level! I had a 30lb. snapping turtle almost take a 5 iron away from me once..of course, I was drunk and poking him with it!

LMAO. Surely that wouldn't make him mad...very much. There isn't enough booze to make me so daring that I'd have poked this guy!

Wow! He's a beauty. I agree though - not something you want to get right up on to take pics LOL

Lawd! Reminds me of when I lived in So Louisiana - those critters were everywhere!

course, we get bears, bobcat, panthers and the like here..still, they're more shy than the 'diles and gators!

Actually, he(?) was kinda neat. Sometimes they are all muddy, but this one was shiny clean. (Probably a luring tactic)

Erin~Thanks for the info. I looked it up and found the right poem. What language do you think that was?

Oh my! Oh no! I would surely run in the opposite direction, as fast as my legs could carry me.

What?? Is that real?? That is crazy!!

I live in Los Angeles, and I'm telling you if that happened here, there would be choppers and cops everywhere. Someone would start a rumor that it ate Paris Hilton's dog, and then the helicopters would carry it away in a net. Maybe then a bunch of celebrities would sing a song about it to raise awareness. I'm just guessing.

Common occurance in southwest Florida. Yes, very real. Not even close to the first time. For some reason they are really partial to golf courses.

Jeez Louise. That would be me hightailing it out of there....

Well, he makes a fun photo, but I would think twice before playing that particular hole.

From up here in Indiana, Florida seems like a scary place. Gators on the golf course, iguanas in the toilets, pythons running amok ... yikes.
